Comments on my WordPress Blog

Recently, it has come to my attention, that some individuals are engaging in behavior that is not in the best of their fellow bloggers. This is one of the problems with the Internet and personal freedom. Some people take it that this means that anything goes. This is not true. The blog sphere is not the place to attack others. When I write my blogs my intentions are to in form, educate, entertain and stimulate some intelligent discussion. A little humor is good too. When comments become nasty and vindictive a line needs to be drawn. I know that the problem I have been having is not an uncommon problem on the Internet. I have seen some very nasty comments on other sites also. It appears that some people like to vent their anger on the Internet. They somehow feel safe because they will not have face to face contact with the individual or individuals that they are attacking. This is not healthy.

The Internet and the world of blogging, offers great possibilities for personal growth. We now have the opportunity to communicate in a healthy manner with persons from all over the world. When I was growing up I could never have dreamed this would be possible. The whole concept would have been considered science fiction. We can all take advantage of the positive aspects of the Internet and blogging, if we put our minds to it. Through positive exchange on the Internet we can entertain, communicate, educate, inform and even help others become better people. We can learn from others. This is a wonderful opportunity. Let's not blow it.

I must add that most of the comments and feedback that I have gotten on my blogs has been positive. I don't mind if people disagree with me. I value other people's opinions whether they agree with mine or not. There are times when we just need to develop a thicker skin and there are times when others comments are abusive. We need the wisdom to know the difference. I want to thank all of my readers who have made positive use of my blogs. I have learned from these people as I am sure have others. If you have learned anything from me that is a bonus.
