Wrestling (part one)

I have always loved professional wrestling. I can still remember watching Hard Boiled Haggerty in a wrestling match on an old black and white tv. I can recall asking my father plenty of questions about what I had just witnessed. My dad did not want me laboring under any illusions and told me that wrestling was fake. Although I believed most everything that my dad told me I was sure he was wrong about this one. Wrestling looked plenty real to a young lad of eight years of age. My next recollection of professional wrestling was watching AWA Wresting on CJAY tv in Winnipeg. I believe the first match i watched on AWA Wrestling featured Bulldog Brower overpowering a much weaker opponent. I wasn't fully hooked, however, until I saw the masked man, Mr. M. Mr. M was massive and scary. He had a voice like gravel and put his opponents to sleep with his patented Hangman's Hold.
