I Feel Like I've Been Run Over By a Bus

Yesterday, for me anyway, I got a lot of exercise. In the morning I went for a forty minute mountain bike ride.
In the late afternoon I took my dogs to the dog park and got in forty more minutes of exercise. In the evening  I went to Shapes to do my split weight training routine. I completed my shoulder, legs, back and chest routines. I realized during my workout that I was really overdoing it today. I'm now fifty-nine years old and my body does not respond like a twenty year old. I can usually do most things that I did in my twenties and thirties albeit a lot slower. The major problem is recovery. When I get up in the morning I feel like a bus has run over me overnight. My body feels very relaxed but it's also begging me to please not doing anything physical for a day or two. From what knowledge I have about resistance training the body is trying to heal and rebuild itself. All the same I feel like crap.
