Why We Need Community

We are very blessed to live in a neighborhood in which most of the neighbors know each other and care about each other. This can be critical when crises and hard times hit us. And they have or eventually will. During these times those suffering need to know that their community is there for them. A tragedy occurred in our community yesterday and as usual the neighbors were" Johnny on the spot" to give help and support. I wish that these crises would never happen but the fact is that our lives can change radically in a matter of hours, minutes or seconds. My heart goes out to the family involved and we will be there to help, support and listen to those who have been affected by this tragedy.
