On Guitars, Amps and The Season of the Witch

Yesterday evening I practised guitar for about half an hour. I played a lot of power chords up and down the fretboard. I also practice my pentatonic scales. I have learned several positions on the guitar fret board where pentatonic scales can be played.The E pentatonic scale and the a and minor pentatonic scale are the most common are the most common scales practiced on the guitar. Practicing good your skills on the guitar can be boring.I believe I have found a good remedy for this. I have the GX4 guitar workstation. This guitar is a model processor. It allows me to dial in many different effects for my guitar and amplifier. I have not mastered secondly how to use all the effects on this piece of equipment but I have a good time dialing in different tones. When you hear different effects when you're playing your practicing becomes much more enjoyable. I also have a drum machine tilt into my guitar workstation. This two ads to my enjoyment while playing as well as helping the keep a sense of timing.Yesterday evening I also watched a movie with Nicolas Cage. It is called the Season of the Witch. This is the best movie I have seen that Nicholas Cage has starred in. The movie is set in medieval times. The basic storyline concerns a massive plague that has hit Europe. They are probably referring to the black plague or the view bubonic plague of medieval times.
The church believed that this plague was caused by a curse delivered by witches. The priests had captured a witch and needed her transported to a monastery Once the witch was delivered to the monastery the monks were to read some rituals and incantations over her. The priests believed that they would drive the spell out of the witch thus, defeating the plague and restoring the land to health. Although some may think of this movie as being demonic in nature, the Christian church wins out in the end. I highly recommend this movie.
