Lake Monsters (part one)

Since I was a young tyke I have had an avid interest in lake monsters. I was very blessed to have a granny who was a retired school teacher. My granny loved books and exposed me to a variety of reading material at a very young age. My grandmother was also a great storyteller. It wasn't long before she got me interested in the topic of prehistoric animals. As my grandfather was born in Scotland she knew the legend of The Loch Ness Monster. Hearing about the possibility of a real life living dinosaur was almost too much for my curiosity to bear. I would ask my Granny over and over to tell me everything that she knew about The Loch Ness Monster. If this wasn't enough she also told me about Nessie's cousin reputedly living in Lake Okanagan. She had one amazing story about the Ogopogo. My granny told me that she had a young friend who had actually had a close encounter with the Ogopogo. According to Granny's young friend she had seen Ogopogo come out of the water and eat one of her family's chickens. This gave me the first inkling that perhaps lake monsters were indeed real.
