Hi folks. I'm presently watching the afternoon session of The Casey Anthony Trial. This trial has me hooked. Real life is always more interesting than fiction. Well, okay, maybe not all the time.
Last night I got in a practice session on my guitar. I probably own a hundred or more guitar tab books that I have accumulated over the years. I have always loved listening to music especially rock music. I actually took guitar lessons for a year and a half when I was thirty-five years old. When I was fourteen years old I took keyboard lessons for a little over a year. I had quite a bit of difficulty trying to learn to play the electronic organ. At that time my parents bought me an Ace Tone portable organ. A few local rock bands were using this organ at the time. In fact I still have the old Ace Tone. I have problems with finger dexterity and am very slow reading standard musical notation. I pretty much gave up playing the organ when I was sixteen. As mentioned previously it was almost two decades passed before I worked up the courage to take guitar lessons. I have fared somewhat better with the guitar than I did with the electronic keyboards.
Although I do not play well I derive great enjoyment from playing my Renegade wannabe Les Paul guitar. Last year I bought a powerful Crate amplifier and a Digitech GNX4 Guitar Workstation. You don't need to be a great guitar player in order to have fun with these three pieces of equipment.
