Writing Process Part Two
As
I am writing this post I am still recovering from a tooth extraction
I had done earlier this week. My mouth still feels weird and my
stomach is starting to feel queasy again. This could be due to the
penicillin I am taking. My extracted tooth was abscessed so my
dentist gave me the prescription for the antibiotic. That's the great
thing about writing. You can still write when you aren't feeling that
great.
I'm
still a novice at writing fiction but I have discovered some things
already. Recently I have been getting up with the cows and the
roosters to do most of my writing. The house is quiet and peaceful in
the early hours of the morning and I find this very conducive to
getting some productive writing done. Stephen King has written that
If you have a regular consistent writing schedule, the Muse will
quickly find this out and will join you during these writing
sessions. So far I have found this to be true. There are days though,
when I don't feel like writing at all. I have found it helpful to
listen to Stephen King's audio book, On Writing as soon as I get out
of bed. I have found On Writing to be very practical and
inspirational as a writing tool. After about fifteen to twenty
minutes of listening to this audio book I am ready to write.
