The Writing Process (Part Two)

The Writing Process Part Two
As I am writing this post I am still recovering from a tooth extraction I had done earlier this week. My mouth still feels weird and my stomach is starting to feel queasy again. This could be due to the penicillin I am taking. My extracted tooth was abscessed so my dentist gave me the prescription for the antibiotic. That's the great thing about writing. You can still write when you aren't feeling that great.
I'm still a novice at writing fiction but I have discovered some things already. Recently I have been getting up with the cows and the roosters to do most of my writing. The house is quiet and peaceful in the early hours of the morning and I find this very conducive to getting some productive writing done. Stephen King has written that If you have a regular consistent writing schedule, the Muse will quickly find this out and will join you during these writing sessions. So far I have found this to be true. There are days though, when I don't feel like writing at all. I have found it helpful to listen to Stephen King's audio book, On Writing as soon as I get out of bed. I have found On Writing to be very practical and inspirational as a writing tool. After about fifteen to twenty minutes of listening to this audio book I am ready to write.
