The Monkees

Last week I watched a Biography Channel tribute to Davy Jones of The Monkees. When I was in my teens I used to watch The Monkees television program on Sunday evenings. I also bought their albums. I didn't really care if The Monkees were a real band or not. Their shows were funny and their music was great. The Monkees provided good clean family entertainment and they gave their audience a temporary break from reality.
