Well It's 2012

Well the new year has begun. I started the new year by taking my car in to get the windshield replaced. I told myself it could've been worse. I've started practicing getting up early in the morning as I may actually have to go to work in the new year. I started practicing my guitar again tonight. There had been a layoff of about two weeks in which my guitar gathered dust. I think I'm getting lazier in my old age. I got a Popeye's gym bag for Christmas. It's a nice leather bag. My hope is that it will motivate me to go to the gym more often in the new year. My wife got me a subscription to the Winnipeg Jets TV channel. This gift is greatly appreciated as there are usually two games per week that I would otherwise not get to see. Speaking of sports, I watched my Oakland Raiders miss the playoffs for yet another year. It's almost enough for one to take off the silver and black. But I won't because I'm a loyal fan.

I have been listening to the audio book 22-11-63 by Stephen King. It is a fascinating read. For music I've been listening to Motorhead and the Ramones. I bought my wife a lap top for Christmas. I think that this will become very handy in our household as we actually need two computers. I also bought her a leather day timer. My car could be ready tomorrow. Tomorrow is also the day that our granddaughter will be coming over for a visit. This always brightens our day. To add to my joy there is a Winnipeg Jets game on in the evening. The good news was that I found my box of pencil crayons. I thought that these were lost and would never be found. Now maybe I'll get back to drawing again. I used to draw cartoon characters for our granddaughter. I guess it's time to sharpen the pencils and get to work drawing some more cartoons.
